The Talladega County, Sylacauga City and Talladega City School systems are all fully accredited by both the State Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
There are a total of fifteen county, eight city elementary and secondary public schools, and three private schools.
Central Alabama Community College in Childersburg and Talladega College, and the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind are among the county's higher educational institutions.
Other accredited colleges and universities within an hour drive include the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City, Jacksonville State University, and the University of Montevallo. All offer advanced degrees.
